about

This is GEN000

This is the first full album from La Función De Repulsa (there was a three way split cassette released a few months before by Dark Side, titled "Bloque Subterráneo").

Released as a limited do-it-yourself tape of 100 copies, this is a compilation from the music composed from 1986 to 1990. Response through fanzines was quite positive even if considered too bizarre for some due to the range of genres like punk, low-fi, industrial, country-garage, dark pop, avantgarde, hardcore, improvisation, etc.

The band decided to go for a 'no-style' kind of underground music.

Recording was mostly live directly to 2 tracks. Even if this is a remastered digital version we decided not to clean too much the original cassette master harshness so you can still appreciate the way it was released as a tape.
